Helsinki Committee of Slovenia Explains Background of its Exclusion from Helsinki Federation

The acting president of the Helsinki Committee of Slovenia Dr Edo Pirkmajer explained the background of exclusion of this organization from the international Helsinki Federation at a news conference in Ljubljana on Thursday. Dr Pirkmajer said that controversies between the Helsinki Committee of Slovenia and the Helsinki Federation started when the Slovene organization in cooperation with Helsinki Committees on Germany and the Netherlands prepared a program for protection of human rights in Slovenia in 1993, and submitted the program to PHARE.
