Delo: Time for Negotiations

Ljubljana, 3 November - Protests by the citizens of Trieste against the Italian government's acceptance of Slovenia as a contractual party in all international agreements with former Yugoslavia, which refer to Slovenia, are not to be neglected. They are a inhibiting reflection of events and contradictory to great changes in the partnership between the neighbors. The protests verify the history regarding actual interests and reflect uncertainty now found in the region of Furlanija-Julijska Krajina. These protests are a good opportunity to gather political points for the Italian internal long term discussions, writes Mojca Drčar-Murko in today's Delo.
