Drnovšek and Rupel receive the Representatives of the Slovenian-Italian Minorities

Ljubljana, 18 November - The Slovenian Prime Minister, Dr. Janez Drnovšek and the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Dimitrij Rupel, today held talks with representatives of different political groups of the Slovenian ethnic minorities in Italy. The Prime Minister assured the representatives, namely, those of the Democratic Leftist Party, Party of the Venetian Slovenes, the Socialist Party of Italy, Party of the Slovene Community Council of the Slovene Community, the Reformed Communist Party, and the Slovene Cultural-Economic Alliance, that Slovenia will always protect the interests of the Slovene ethnic minorities in Italy.
