Ljubljana, 26 November - Few politicians in Slovenia react polemically to the "courageous" statements of persons who name themselves leaders of different parties and movements, and have a common negative attitude toward the so-called Southerners in the last days before the elections. Their public appearances are an echo of all the recent events in Europe- hatred towards people of different color, belief, or language. In this part of the world there have been many similar historical periods already. All of them ended tragically. Also the present xenophobic movements might induce history to repeat itself, if we don't treat this phenomenon seriously, writes Robert Mecilošek in today's Dnevnik.
