Parliamentary Session

Ljubljana, 26 November - Delegates in the Socio-Political Chamber of the present Slovenian parliament passed a bill regulating the warranty of the Republic of Slovenia on the debentures issued in relation to the rehabilitation plan concerning banks and saving banks. In addition, MPs spent most of their time discussing whether or not to include the phone-tapping affair in their agenda. This proposition was supported by members of the Socio-Political Chamber and the Chamber of Municipalities, but the members of the Chamber of Associated Labor were against it. This aroused indignation among some MPs. The delegate's clubs of several parties (Christian Democrats, National Democrats, Slovenian People's Party, Social Democrats and Democrats) then proposed that a special session of all three chambers should be held before the elections to discuss the topic.
