A Successful Olympic Year for Slovenian Sportsmen

Ljubljana, 4 January - In the Olympic year 1992, a new era for Slovenian sports began after Slovenia attained independence and recognition from the European Community. Never before have so many Slovenian teams and individual sportsmen competed on the international scene. The Slovenian flag was raised two times in Barcelona; after the successful canoeing and the third place finish of the canoes from Bled.
