Ljubljana, 5 January - The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Mr. Milan Kučan, had informal talks with representatives of political parties on the nomination of the mandatary for forming the new government. The Slovenian constitution provides that the president of the state is to negotiate with leaders of parliamentary groups which have not yet been established. If they are established by January 7, the President will then suggest a mandatary to the State Chamber. President Kučan has talked to seven political parties, but not yet with the strongest of them, the Liberal Democrats.
