Delo: Convincing majority

Ljubljana, 26 January - The prime minister, Janez Drnovšek, was surprisingly happy with the result of his election after having won a mere forty-eight votes in the ballot at the first session in January. This happened without any prior signing of coalition agreements, enabling hlrn, as he expressed earlier, to act free of all obstacles in forming his government. Obviously, he knew what he was doing. Yesterday the deputies approved his list of fifteen ministerial candidates by a much larger majority of votes than he himself had won, Jana Taškar writes in the morning edition of Delo.
