Did the government prevent a strike in the education sector?

Ljubljana, 4 February - At a session held today, the Slovenian government adopted the proposal of the budget for social activities and thus equaled personal incomes without bonuses in non-commercial activities to personal incomes without bonuses in state administration. The Minister of Labor, Family and Social Affairs Jožica Puhar and Minister of Education Slavko Gaber held a press conference following the session, where they expressed their beliefs that trade unions will accept the proposal and call off a three day strike of workers in educational institutions announced for next week.
