IMF delegation in Ljubljana

Ljubljana, 11 February - Since 9 February a delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), led by Poul M.Thomsen - assistant director of the European sector - has been in Ljubljana determining the compatibility of the macroeconomic policy of Slovenia, as an IMF member-state, with the principles of the statute of this institution.
During their stay, the members of the delegation are mainly working at the Bank of Slovenia, where discussions with a delegation of the Republic of Slovenia, appointed by the government, are taking place. The delegation will present a detailed report on their findings to the Managing Board of the IMF.
