Danilo Tuerk Inaugurated as President
Ljubljana, 22 December - Danilo Tuerk was sworn in as president at a ceremonial session of the National Assembly on Saturday, becoming the third head of state since Slovenia gained independence. "I will dedicate my best powers to presidential duties, working for the benefit of all people in Slovenia and our entire community," Tuerk said in his inaugural address.
