elo: Opinion Polls on Slovene Politicians and Parties

Agency Stik carried out the poll among 770 subscribers to Delo. It also asked about the opinion on the work of 20 Slovene politicians and the parliament, government and political parties. There are no major changes in the March poll, with President of State Milan Kučan still being the most popular politician. Premier Janez Drnovšek came second, the third most popular politician was Jelko Kacin, while the fourth Marjan Podobnik. The new member of the twenty is Foreign Minister Zoran Thaler, who is the sixth most popular Slovene politician. Two thirds of the questioned in the poll assessed parliament's work in February as bad, while the work of the government was assessed as good by a third, which is more than in January. Favourizing of political parties did not change significantly, with the Liberal Democracy of Slovenia still the most popular, while the percentage of those who favour the Democrats, Slovene National Party and the Associated List of Social Democrats increased.
