EU Finds Common Stance on How to Proceed on Kosovo

Brussels, 18 February - EU foreign ministers agreed on Monday that member states will be free to decide whether or not to recognise the independent Kosovo. "There were bleak forecasts that we will not manage to come to agreement, but the EU has survived yet another test of unity," Slovenian Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel said after the session.
