Slovenia Adds 750 km2 to Natura 2000 Protected Areas

Brussels, 28 March - Natura 2000 has recently expanded by 18,784 km2, including 750 km2 in Slovenia, the European Commission wrote on Friday. According to the Commission, Europe's network of protected natural areas now covers almost 20% of the continent's landmass and 100,000 km2 of its seas.
