Writer May Decline Decoration Over Italian President's Speech

Trieste, 28 April - Boris Pahor, an acclaimed Slovenian author living in Trieste, has told the Italian daily Il Gazettino he may decline a decoration which is due to be conferred on him by Italian President Giorgio Napolitano. He said he would find it difficult to accept the award from a president who can only remember the post-WWII violence by the Slovenian side.
