FM Wants EU to Keep Doors Open

Ljubljana, 9 May - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel said on Friday that Slovenia wanted the EU to continue sending the signals of open doors and windows of opportunity. For many non-members the bloc represents a symbol of openness, welfare and freedom, while some members, mainly the larger ones, believe that enlargement is a threat, he said.
