Euro Adoption Goes Smoothly, Cypriot Officials Tell STA
Nicosia, 11 May - Cyprus, which adopted the euro in the beginning of the year together with Malta, has so far had no serious trouble with its new currency, say the representatives of Cypriot government and economy. The main reasons are the strong economy and informed citizens, Minister for Commerce, Industry and Tourism Antonis Pashalides told STA in an interview.
