EU Parliamentary Speakers Agree to Push Ahead With Treaty

Lisbon, 21 June - The Irish rejection of the embattled Lisbon treaty dominated Saturday's talks in Lisbon where parliamentary speakers from EU member states and the European Parliament met to discuss topical issues. Slovenian Parliament Speaker France Cukjati told STA that the participants agreed that the ratification of the treaty needed to continue.
