Provinces Referendum: Second Province Rejected, Support Still Strong Overall

Ljubljana, 22 June - Voters in 11 of the 13 provinces proposed by the government backed the creation of their province, while only those in central Slovenia and the coast voted against, after all the were counted by the National Electoral Commission (RVK). The turnout stood at a record low for a referendum in Slovenia, at 10.94%.
