Lent Festival Begins in Maribor Today

Maribor, 27 June - The 16th Lent Festival, the largest music and theatre festival in Slovenia, will begin on Friday evening with a concert of the Gypsy Queens and Kings on a floating stage on the Drava river. Over the next 16 days, Maribor, Slovenia's second-largest city, will be swarming with over 400 events, 3,500 artists and about half a million of visitors.
