Football Strike Off, Entire 1st Round Played

Ljubljana, 21 July - Despite assurances to the opposite, which came from the footballers' trade union even on Saturday, Slovenian premiere league footballers turned up for their 1st round games on Saturday and Sunday. The union had said they would go on strike as the Association of Premier League clubs (ZNPL) had failed to meet their demands.
