Stable Tolar Also in the Future

"How to Assure a Stable Tolar" was the topic of Wednesday's lecture of Governor of the Bank of Slovenia (BS) France Arhar at the financial fair Kapital. Answering the forecasts of some brokers that this June a German mark is to be worth 81.94 tolars, in December 84.87 tolars and in March 1996 85.78 tolars, Governor Arhar said that the central bank did not make such forecasts as its major task is to assure the stability of the Slovene currency. He rejected the reproaches, mainly by exporting companies, regarding the bank's exchange rate policy.
