Week Review of Movements in Slovene Economy from 1 to 7 April

Ljubljana, 8 April - Minister of Finances Mitja Gaspari presented to National Assembly the government's proposition for the 1995 national budget, and said that the proposition is based on basic goals and directions of the economy and social policy measures which have been defined in the budget memorandum adopted by National Assembly in last December. The main goals stipulated by the memorandum are the lowering of the year-in-year inflation rate to 10 percent, continuation of a fast economy growth of 5 percent, increasing of national saving to ensure a firm basis for investments, improving of competitive position of companies through further fiscal disburdening, and retaining the same level of social care.
