This Year's Vilenica Meeting under Question

Ljubljana, 7 June - VILENICA/1993/ASSOCIATION/WRITERS/VENO/TAUFER
In a situation when they are short of over a third of the funds required to organise this year's reduced Vilenica literary meeting, the eighth in succession, the organisers, the Slovenian Writers' Association (DSP), decided to appeal for help. They are publicly asking the Slovenian government, "whether we can really afford to interrupt the long years of communication and consolidation of Slovenian culture in Europe and around the world?"
