Weekly Review of Slovene Economy from 8 to 14 April

Ljubljana, 15 April - Representatives of the government, employers and employees signed on Thursday an agreement on the salaries policy and other income for economy, and an Annex of tariffs to the general collective agreement for the economy for 1995. The documents were signed by all social partners, except for the Confederation of Trade Unions of Slovenia Pergam. For the government it was signed by Minister for Labour, Family and Social Affairs Rina Klinar, for the employees the signatories were Chamber of Commerce President Dagmar Šuster, Chamber of Trade President Miha Grah, Association of Employees President Miran Goslar, Association of Entrepreneurs President Franc Zavodnik, and President of OGISTTA (association of employees in craft, trade, catering, intellectual services, tourism, and transport) Dare Stojan. For the employers the agreement was signed by the representatives of five trade unions. The agreement of salary policy in economy, which came into force on 1 March and is valid till 31 March next year, also determines the minimal gross salary of SIT 45,000, and a quarterly increase of initial salaries by 80 percent of the increase of the retail prices. The agreement also envisages two basis for the calculation of salaries for April, either the January-to-December of 1994 average increased by 11 percent or the October-to-December of 1994 average increased by 2.5 percent. One of the stipulations is a bonus for the summer vacation for 1995 which in the gross salary accounts for 70 percent of the last statistic data on the gross salary in economy.
