Europe Does Not End on Italian-Slovene Border

Slovenia and the Province of Veneto, Italy, have had good relations ever since the cooperation in the Alps-Adriatic Working Community started. These relations must be strengthened also in the future as good relations among regions are the basis for good relations among states. Neither Italy nor Slovenia cannot accept the claim that Europe ends on the Slovene-Italian border. This was stressed by Slovene President Milan Kučan, paying a private visit to Venice on Tuesday, and President of the Council of the Province of Veneto Umberto Carraro.
