Referendum on Mosque Temporarily Averted

Ljubljana, 30 December - The construction of the first mosque in Slovenia, in Ljubljana, will not be subject to a local referendum yet as Ljubljana Mayor Zoran Jankovic said Tuesday he had rejected a petition that would allow the proponents to start collecting the 11,000 signatures necessary to call a referendum.
