Kanin Ski Resort Reopens on 30 Ft of Snow

Bovec, 17 February - Halfway through the skiing season, Slovenia's highest-lying resort Kanin is finally ready for skiers after dealing with excess snow. In December, heavy snowfall left the slopes buried under nine metres of snow (29.5 feet). Avalanches in January caused substantial damage on the resort's ski lifts, leaving them inoperable.
