SCT Olimpija, Publikum and Maribor Branik clubs in Europe

Ljubljana, 10 June - SOCCER/1ST SLOVENIAN SOCCER LEAGUE
The 2nd annual Slovenian First League soccer championship ended with the last and 34th round. The champions, SCT Olimpija, became obvious two rounds before the championship finals. The last round did away with any guesswork as to which team will make it to the UEFA championship and which will, apart from Nafta, Železničar and Steklar, be eliminated from the league. Maribor's Branik team secured themselves a place in the UEFA championship by defeating the Koper team, while the victory of SCT Olimpija over Mura also helped. Along with these teams, ETI Elektroelement of Zagorje is also moving to the Second League. The Slovenian representative in the previous championship winners' championship will be the Publikum team of Celje, which lost to national champions SCT Olimpija in the finale of Slovenian championship.
