Language Official Says Slovenia's Language Policies Inadequate
Ljubljana, 20 February - The head of a Culture Ministry department which advises the government on matters concerning the Slovenian language believe having English as a mandatory subject at secondary school-leaving exams is inappropriate. This effectively makes Slovenia bilingual, Velemir Gjurin said in an interview for STA ahead of Mother Language Day.
