Maribor Confirmed as 2012 European Capital of Culture
Brussels, 12 May - The EU culture ministers confirmed in Brussels on Tuesday Slovenia's second largest city, Maribor, as the 2012 European Capital of Culture. Maribor, which is the first Slovenian city to be declared the European Capital of Culture, will share the title with Portugal's Guimaraes.
