Economists Say Slovenia Could Not Have Avoided Recession
Ljubljana, 9 June - Commenting on the report that Slovenia's economy shrank at an annual rate of 8.5% in the first quarter of 2009, and that the country is officially in recession, two economists said Tuesday that Slovenia as a small and open economy could not have avoided the sharp fall in GDP, however it could do much to mitigate it.
