Damage after Tuesday's Storms Extensive

Maribor/Murska Sobota/Gornja Radgona, 17 June - Severe storms with hail and hurricane winds hit northeastern parts of Slovenia Tuesday afternoon. While total damage is not yet known, the figures are expected to be high, especially on crops. Reports suggest that in some places the hail tore up the plants so badly it is impossible to make out what grew in the fields at all.
