Damage After Tuesday's Storms Extensive

Maribor/Murska Sobota/Gornja Radgona, 17 June - Severe storms with hail and gale-force winds hit northeastern parts of Slovenia Tuesday afternoon. Insurance companies estimate the bill at around EUR 12m. Reports suggest that in some places hail tore up plants so badly it is impossible to make out what grew in the fields at all.
