Slovenia Celebrates 18th Birthday

Ljubljana, 25 June - Slovenia has come of age on Thursday as it celebrates the 18th anniversary of its independence. National Day marks 25 June 1991, when the Slovenian Assembly passed the Basic Constitutional Charter and the Declaration of Independence. The country declared its independence in an evening ceremony in front of the parliament building.
