Weekly Review of Slovene Economy from 19 to 23 June

Ljubljana, 24 June - The law on subsidizing social security contributions, passed Tuesday, means that exporters will receive 15 billion tolars (134 million US dollars) for 1995. Slovene Chamber of Commerce (GZS) estimates this represents 7 per cent of net Slovene exports. Minister of Economic Activities Maks Tajnikar and President of Parliamentary Committee on Economy Feri Horvat met representatives of exporting companies Wednesday and acquainted them with the contents of the law. GZS President Dagmar Šuster said the funds from the law would cover a part of the difference due to the revaluation of Slovene tolar.
