Slovenia Remembers First Democratic Coalition

Ljubljana, 27 November - Slovenia marks on Friday the 20th anniversary of the Democratic Opposition of Slovenia (DEMOS), a coalition which was formed on 27 November 1989 ahead of the country's first multi-party election in 1990. The coalition led Slovenia to independence and broke up on 30 December 1991 due to internal tensions.
