Review of Slovenian Press

Ljubljana, 16 June - Among domestic events, the Slovenian dailies focus today on the continuing protests by farmers, who blocked international border-crossings, and the regular press conference held by Prime Minister Janez Drnovšek. The teachers' strike and the disputed Article 29 of the law on ownership transformation still reverberate throughout Slovenia. Among foreign news items, most attention is devoted to the second conference on human rights in Vienna, in particular an impassioned speech by the foreign minister of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Haris Silajdžić, and to developments in Bosnia-Herzegovina, namely the Serbian-Croatian agreement on moving the civilian population.
