OLYMPICS: History of Slovenia's Olympic Achievements

Ljubljana, 8 February - It was not until 1992 that Slovenian athletes competed under the Slovenian flag, but the beginnings of Slovenia's Olympic achievements date back much farther. Since the beginning of the modern-day Olympics, Slovenian athletes competed for all four states they have lived in: the Austro-Hungarian Empire, both Yugoslavias and the independent Slovenia.
