Unemployment in the Focus of This Year's Labour Day
Ljubljana, 30 April - Apart from traditional rituals marking Labour Day such as lighting bonfires and workers' gatherings, this year's 1 May will be marked by unionist calls for social dialogue amids growing unemployment in Slovenia. Labour Day was first celebrated in Slovenia in 1890, and declared a public holiday in 1948.
