Slovenia Became EU Member Six Years Ago
Ljubljana, 1 May - Slovenia joined the European Union six years ago to date along with nine mostly Eastern European countries, in what was the biggest enlargement to date. During this time, Slovenia introduced the euro, entered the Schengen zone and chaired the European Council.
