Govt Modifies Pension Reform; Unions Unmoved

Ljubljana, 3 May - The government moved closer to the trade unions' demands on the pension reform on Monday by proposing that the years of service also become a retirement criterion. Labour Minister Ivan Svetlik suggested men could retire after 43 years of work and women after 41 years. The trade unions were however not happy with the proposal.
