Border Arbitration Treaty Narrowly Endorsed

Ljubljana, 6 June - Slovenians endorsed the border arbitration treaty with Croatia in a referendum, meaning the ratification bill for the accord can take effect and the countries resolve their 20-year old border dispute. PM Borut Pahor hailed the outcome as a major victory for Slovenia, while opposition leader Janez Jansa labelled it a defeat for Slovenia.
