Parliament Stops Establishment of Small Municipalities

Ljubljana, 15 June - The National Assembly passed in a 38:27 vote on Tuesday amendments to the local government act, preventing without exception the establishment of new municipalities with less than 5,000 inhabitants in order to stop a further fragmentation of local government in Slovenia.
