Banks' Total Profit Nearly Halved in First Half of 2010
Ljubljana, 7 August - Banks in Slovenia generated pre-tax profit of just over EUR 80m in the first half of this year, down 43.8% over the year before, according to a central bank report on banking performance. Net profit dropped to EUR 62.2m from EUR 118.8m.
