Slovenia Sees Large Decline in Illegal Immigrants in Past Decade
Ljubljana, 15 August - Slovenia has witnessed a drastic fall in the number of illegal immigrants from its peak ten years ago. In 2000 Slovenian police apprehended 35,892 illegal immigrants, compared to only 422 last year. Police officials say illegal migrants now rely on alternate routes to the EU.
