ODIHR Not Exporter of Western Democracy, Head Says
Ljubljana/Warsaw, 22 August - The head of the OSCE's Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) has rejected the notion that the role of this human rights and democracy watchdog is to export "Western" values to the East. Janez Lenarcic, who took over the post of ODIHR director two years ago, says that there is no such thing as a perfect democracy.
