Wine Growers Expecting Average Year
Gornja Radgona, 24 August - A cold spring and rainy summer will result in a slight delay in the grape picking dates in Slovenian vineyards this year, wine growers however expect an average yield. Almost 37,000 tonnes of grapes are expected to be picked, an improvement of 1,300 tonnes over storm-plagued 2009, the boss of Slovenia's Wine Company said on Tuesday.
