Head of Slovene Chamber of Commerce on Economic Relations with Neighbouring Countries

Head of Slovene Chamber of Commerce Jožko Čuk estimated Thursday during a Hungarian-Slovene business conference in Radenci economic relations between Hungary and Slovenia were improving and the trading between the countries was on the increase from 1991, when Slovenia's exports to Hungary amounted to US$ 36 million and the imports to US$ 63 million. Čuk added Slovenia's exports to Hungary had totalled US$ 98 million by 1994, while the imports by that year amounted to US$ 191 million. The data for the first 5 months of 1995 show a a substantial increase in trading over the same period in 1994: the exports index has gone up to US$ 153.2 million, and that of the imports to US$ 176 million.
