Roman Catholic Church and Government Discuss Legal Status of Roman Catholic Church in Slovenia

The Commission for relations between the government of the Republic of Slovenia and the Roman Catholic Church held its second session today. At the end of the session, the Minister Without Portfolio in charge of legislation, Lojze Janko, and Bishop Lojze Uran, speaking on behalf of the government and of the Catholic Church respectively, resumed the conclusion of talks aimed at adapting the legal status of the Roman Catholic Church to the provisions of the new constitution of the Republic of Slovenia.
